Installation of Sofa Legs
Examine how the legs on your sofa or chair, that you want to replace, are attached to your furniture. If the legs are attached by counter sink screws, the legs are removed with a standard Phillips head screw driver. Your new legs will be attached in the same manner.Or if your sofa legs are attached by hanger bolts they are removed by turning the leg counter clock wise. Measure the diameter of the hanger bolt and it should be a standard 5/16" bolt. Your new leg will be easily attached by screwing the hanger bolt into the same t-nut in the frame.
You can replace legs that have hanger bolts with legs that are attached to the sofa or chair with screws by removing your legs in the same counter clock wise turning of the leg. Once the leg is removed, place your leg with the counter sink holes on the bottom of the frame and bore �" pilot holes into the frame. Then secure the legs to the frame with #10 2 � inch screws.
